Privacy Policy

Last updated 27 October 2026

1. Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is Pro-Luce, Via Aldo Moro 10/12, 50019 Sesto Fiorentino Firenze, Italy. For any question about this policy or your personal data, write to info@pro-luce.com.

2. What we collect, and why

We only collect what you send us through the forms on this website:

  • Contact form: your name, email address, subject and message, so we can answer you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Quote and specification schedule requests: your name, firm, email address, phone number (optional), project name, the products, quantities and options you selected, and your notes, so we can prepare a quotation. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Specifier bulletin: your email address, to send you product and technical updates. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.

To protect the forms against abuse, our server briefly holds your IP address in memory (for at most ten minutes) to limit repeated submissions. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.

3. Cookies and storage on your device

This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising trackers. It stores two things in your browser's local storage, only to make the site work for you: your light or dark theme choice, and the luminaires you add to your specification schedule. They never leave your device unless you send the schedule to us, and you can clear them at any time in your browser settings.

4. Who receives your data

Form submissions reach our team by email through Resend, Inc., an email delivery provider acting as our processor. Resend is based in the United States; transfers there are covered by the safeguards required by Chapter V GDPR (the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses). Our website hosting provider also processes data on our behalf. We share your data with no one else, except where the law requires it.

5. How long we keep it

We keep enquiries and quotation requests for as long as needed to answer them and follow up, and no longer than 24 months after our last exchange, unless they lead to an order, in which case we keep them for the period required by tax and accounting law. Bulletin subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.

6. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier processing. To exercise any of these rights, write to info@pro-luce.com; we reply within one month.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).

7. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
